Copper turning parts, with their excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, outstanding machinability, and good corrosion resistance, have become key materials in the fields of electronics, electrical engineering, and precision manufacturing.

Excellent Electrical and Thermal Conductivity: Copper is the second best conductor after silver, with an electrical conductivity reaching 100% IACS (International Standard for Annealed Copper) and a thermal conductivity as high as approximately 398 W/m·K. This makes copper machined parts widely used in applications requiring extremely high energy transfer efficiency, such as transformer windings, motor terminals, and heat sink substrates.

Excellent Machining Performance: Most copper alloys (such as CZ119 and C36000) are free-machining materials. Lead-containing brasses, in particular, (such as CuZn38Pb1.5) form an "internal lubricant" in their microstructure, significantly reducing tool wear and improving chip breaking ability, making them suitable for mass production on high-speed automatic lathes. The surface finish after machining can reach Ra1.6~0.8μm, meeting the requirements of precision assembly.

Excellent Corrosion Resistance and Stability: Copper exhibits strong resistance to oxidation and corrosion in atmospheric, water, and various industrial environments. Oxygen-free copper (such as C10200), in particular, possesses excellent airtightness, making it suitable for the manufacture of high-vacuum electronic devices. Service life can be further extended through plating or passivation treatments.

High Strength and Wear Resistance Combined (Specific Alloys): Certain high-performance copper alloys, such as C89841, have a tensile strength ≥450MPa and a hardness HB 120~150, combining excellent mechanical strength and wear resistance. They are suitable for high-load applications such as automotive connectors and industrial valves.

With good weldability and formability, copper is easy to braze, resistance weld, and cold form, facilitating integration with other components. C15100 zirconium copper alloy also possesses high-temperature stability, making it suitable for high-temperature applications such as welding electrodes.
